BEN SWIDENBANK is from Bedford in the South of England, and has just started recording his own solo material.
He is the bass guitarist in his brother Joseph Swidenbank's band, and also does regular guest and session work including gigs with Mark Joseph, and with Irish folk rock band Grafton Street (alongside his dad - a very musical family!)
Ben has played in bands sharing the stage with the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, The Who, The Buzzcocks, The Undertones, appeared on MTV with his good friend Mark Joseph (and can be seen playing bass in Mark's video for his hit "Bringing Back Those Memories") and has experience of playing gigs and festivals of all sizes, and as diverse as "an Irish wake and Brixton Academy ..... in the space of 2 days!!"
He has now decided to step up to the microphone as a solo artist, and has recorded his debut song, one of his own compositions "Girl (Leave That Animal Tonight) which he has performed at various venues around Bedfordshire and also at gigs in Wales.
The song has been played on radio stations in the UK and USA and is one of the tracks on the "Uncovered" compilation CD.
Ben played the main stage of the famous Bedford River Festival with his brother Joe's band, and they have been invited back to play it again in 2012.
Ben describes his song-writing as "honest and heartfelt" Check out Ben's songwriter profile under our publishing roster
