COLIN  HEPPELL

   Colin Heppell is a songwriter from the North East who is now based near Preston, Lancashire. 

   Colin is a member of the Guild of International Songwriters and Composers (UK). 

   He achieved 11 semi-final positions with 6 songs in the 2009 UK Songwriting Contest. 

  His songs are predominantly pop/rock and the lyrics are often based on personal experiences

  Although Colin has already recorded 4 albums of his songs, he is very interested in them being covered by other recording artists, and for them to be used for soundtracks for film and TV.    This page contains just a selection of songs by Colin, who is a very prolific songwriter. 
He can also supply instrumental versions of his songs.  

  His biggest influences in his writing are: Bruce Springsteen, The Feeling, Bob Dylan and Lennon & McCartney, but he also likes: Snow Patrol, Tom Waits, Keane, Amy MacDonald, Paul Simon, Kaiser Chiefs, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Paolo Nutini, Rolling Stones, Buddy Holly, Steve Earle, REM and Queen.
